We have not attempted to include in this view the career achievements, lifetime contributions or industry collaborations that many writers can claim. The list favours frequency (regular columns in national dailies and magazines) over depth (feature articles and books). Maybe that’s right as far as current influence goes but the list would look quite different if assessed on lifetime body of work and depth of writing. On that basis, only three in the front rank for me, Michael Cooper, Peter Saunders, Keith Stewart.
